Faculty/Staff ID
All NSU Faculty and Staff who are full-time and part-time continuing employees are eligible for an I.D. card. New employees are issued their first card free of charge and can pick up their card as soon as their term of employment has begun. Continuing employees include:
Classified staff with permanent appointments;
professional exempt staff with permanent appointments;
faculty with permanent appointments.
Also, faculty members employed throughout the year whose contracts are renewed annually, including professional research assistants and research associates are eligible.
In order to receive your I.D. please bring a government issued picture I.D. with you to the NSU One Card Office in Room 152 of the NSU Student Union. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact the NSU One Card Office at 318-357-5131 for more information.
Your NSU I.D. card must be surrendered at the time of termination of employment.
All continuing faculty and staff members should reactivate their ID card by receiving a current year registration sticker. All registration stickers are good for one fiscal year. Stickers are available during fee payment or in the One Card Office.
Faculty/Staff Gated Parking Access
Access to Faculty/Staff Gated Parking Lots on the Natchitoches campus will be managed by the NSU One Card office. The NSU I.D. will be used to access the gated parking lots. The NSU I.D. card will be used in a card reader similar to a debit or credit card reader. Simply swipe the NSU I.D. card through the card reader at the entrance of a gated lot to gain access to the lot.
Terms and Conditions
· Access to Faculty/Staff Gated Parking Lots will be granted based upon building and office location of the employee. If possible, the Faculty/Staff Gated Parking Lot located nearest your building and office will be assigned as your primary parking lot. A completed and approved Application for Faculty/Staff Gated Parking Lot Access (available in the "Forms" section of our website) will be required.
· Faculty/Staff will use the NSU I.D. card to access a gated parking lot. Generally, Faculty/Staff Gated Parking Lots will require card access between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Exceptions to these times may occur with prior approval of the Chief of University Police.
· The NSU I.D. card is not transferable to another person under any circumstance. The NSU I.D. card is intended solely for use of the individual to whom the card was originally issued by the University and named on the front of the card.
· Any lost NSU I.D. card should be reported immediately to the One Card Office and a replacement card obtained. The replacement cost for a lost or damaged NSU I.D. card will be $20.00. Once a card is replaced, the lost card will be deactivated and no longer usable. A replacement I.D. card will automatically supersede an old card; the NSU I.D. card management system will only allow one functioning card per individual at any given time.
· Upon resignation or termination of employment for any reason, the NSU I.D. card will be deactivated automatically by the CS Gold system.
